Paul~

I guess I should elaborate ?

If there is voltage at the fan motor but it won't run, then the motor or it's capacitor may have failed, or the combo is not connected properly...Is this a new install, or has it been run previously ?

If there is No voltage at the motor then the problem is either in the wire/connections to that motor, or the logic board inside the RX10 has failed…Specifically the fan triac on that board, but only the complete board is available…Check voltage where the fan wire connects at the RX10…No voltage there…It's the board.

The SMXII is just the keypad/display in that system…It only accesses the logic board to tell it what to do, and to display those settings…So switching keypads would not likely solve the problem unless it had some faulty fan buttons…Once the system is set to do as wanted the SMXII could be unplugged and the system would continue doing what it was last told to do…Do all the fan speed indicator lights light up ?

Hi Paul~

Have you checked for voltage at the fan motor ?

Greetings all,

I have a cruisair REU10c unit feeding an RX10c, controlled by an smxII. Compressor runs, rx10 gets cold, but fan will not run...no fault code at controller. Swapped controller, no help.

Ideas?

Regards,

Paul
