I believe this unit isn't working because he knob thermostat has went out. This is only a suspicion at this point but it will not turn on at all. The breaker hasn't kicked and i do know there is power. This is a self contained unit in my 47ft Harbor Master. I am not sure where to begin but I don't care to do the work myself with a little guidance. Can you help?

I can try Russ but I need a bit more info…

What brand of equipment ? (model number would help too)…This will affect wire colors, and tells me where power goes first (to the unit or the switch assy) 

Does the fan or pump run ?…If not, you are not getting power to the switch assembly…So it's not just the thermostat, but could be as simple as a burnt connection behind the switch assembly.

How many knobs does the switch assembly have ?
