Friday everythings works.  Got on the Boat Saturday and discover no lights on in the SMX system.  Checked shore power and flicked breaker a couple time.  Checked electricity across the back of the breaker and it's ok.  Need help troubleshooting problem.

Dave~

You need to get to the SMX logic board (usually on the unit or in a box close to the unit) but I can't say because you don't say what unit or type…

On the board you will see Line1/Neutral connections…check for power there…

Some boards have fuses too…need to check those…

Thanks Steve.  It is a Cruiseair (I think 16000 btu).  Unfortionally the compressor unit is well hidden in the bilge and it's Aug. in Florida (I assume it's August everywhere also).  I'll give it try.  If there is any other advise particular to this unit please give me the benefit of your knowledge.  Thanks.

Tell me about it…I'm here every year too (St Pete)  Cry

So I take it it's a split system (you mention bilge)….The box may be between the service valves…But without knowing what unit, what boat, factory install, age, etc…all the things I mention in the read before posting….I can't be of much more help.

I will say that when a SMX won't light up it's usually a power problem or a bad connection where it plugs in…Lastly it could be either the board or the display itself…If you have another known working display to swap out (like on another unit/system) that's the easiest test…
