I currently have a 7000 btu selfcontained unit with the Passport II controls. The unit has died, but the contols are still functional. I am going to replace this unit with a 10000 btu unit VTD10K, 115 volt. Can I use my Passport II controls on this new unit? If not what are my options to not have to spend the money for all new controls.

Hi Mike~

NO…The Passport II display will not talk to the board in the new unit but…

The new unit has a board & comes with the cable to connect to the control of your choice…
Passport I/O Compact, or Elite…http://www.dometic.com/enus/Am…../Controls/

Those controls differ in form factor & price…Passport I/O Compact being cheaper than the Elite at $195.00 retail.
I do discount but can't quote here…Either PM me or email & I can quote.

Thanks for Lookin…
Steve~
